Your logistics questions answered

After I sell wine, where do I send it?

All wine sold on Liv-ex passes through our London warehouse so that we can confirm the trade and check the wine if necessary.

To get it there, you can either send it directly to London or to one of our hubs in Bordeaux, Belgium or Hong Kong. We manage onward travel.

Alternatively, we operate collection service across Europe. We currently collect from France, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy and Denmark. Shipments are temperature-controlled when needed to ensure that the stock arrives in good condition.

I am based in Asia. How are my purchases delivered?

Liv-ex offers weekly temperature-controlled air freight to your desired address in Hong Kong. It is charged at a competitive per-case fee.

I am based in North America. How are my purchases delivered?

We operate monthly temperature-controlled deliveries to Beaune (France), which many of our clients find convenient for easy onward transportation to North America.

How long will it take for my wine to be delivered?

If you have purchased wine under the SIB contract, it will be available in your Liv-ex account within 30 days, but often much soonerSome wine is offered as available now, which means it is already in the warehouse and is instantly available. Where delivery times vary from this, the wine is offered as ‘Special’ and the time frame is specified.

Onward delivery times depend on your location and preferred shipping method.

What are your settlement and admin charges?
