Established in 1981, Goedhuis & Co is a team of fine wine merchants based in Central London. They have been a member of Liv-ex since it opened in 1999.

Trading

“Invaluable - Good information makes for intelligent trading.”

Goedhuis fine wine buyer Toby Herbertson described pricing data from Liv-ex as a “very useful steer” for making buying and selling decisions. He reports that email notifications with trading opportunities are “invaluable … [the suggestions] are easy kills”.

An additional benefit is the ability to passively place bids on the Exchange, which is open 24/7/365, in case the relevant stock becomes available.

Settlement

“Vine does a really good job”

Herbertson commented that “Liv-ex does a really good job in reducing settlement times and with the receipting of stock”, making the whole trading process simple.

Valuations

“The industry standard”

Goedhuis provide their customers with portfolio valuation information, something that they describe as “part of the core service”. This is powered price data from Liv-ex because their clients “see it as the industry standard”. Herbertson also commented on its reliability, calling the Market Price, “as robust a measure as one could wish for.”
