The Liv-ex 100 Fine Wine Index
The Liv-ex 100 Fine Wine Index is the fine wine industry’s leading benchmark. It represents the price movement of 100 of the most sought-after fine wines for which there is a strong secondary market and is calculated monthly. The index is calculated using Liv-ex Mid Prices and is then weighted to account for original production levels and increasing scarcity as the wine ages. Liv-ex 100 subscribers gain access to the full details of the component wines, including weightings and Mid Prices – allowing you to benchmark your portfolio against the market. Licensing deals for marketing purposes are also available.
The Liv-ex 500 Fine Wine Index
The Liv-ex 500 Fine Wine Index has the broadest base of all the Liv-ex indices and is designed to reflect price trends in the wider fine wine market. Unlike the Liv-ex 100 any commonly traded wine is eligible, meaning popular wines from Bordeaux that don’t fit the more stringent Liv-ex 100 criteria are included. The majority of the index consists of Bordeaux wines – a reflection of the overall market – although it also includes wines from Burgundy, the Rhone, Champagne, Port, Italy and the New World.
The Liv-ex Claret Chip
The Liv-ex Claret Chip tracks the top scoring Bordeaux First Growth. Aimed at professional investors, it is designed to be fully investable and completely transparent in its formulation. Valued with Liv-ex Mid Prices, it includes all the First Growths from the last 15 years that have scored 95 points and above from www.erobertparker.com (final bottle scores only).
The Liv-ex Champagne 25
The Liv-ex Champagne 25 tracks the world most sought after Champagnes. Based around the leading vintages of Dom Perignon, Louis Roederer Cristal and Krug, this is the perfect index for those with large stocks of Champagne or a strong Champagne client base.
